I'm trying to go component out of my ATI Radeon X850 to my TV. I've tried many different edits to /etc/X11/xorg.conf, but nothing seems to make it display anything more that 800x600. I'm trying to get 1920x1080 and DVI isn't an option right now. Does anyone have experience with this card? A

Well for the time being I've solved the problem by simply not loading "GLX" in my X-config file. Crude but effective. My CPU load is down to around 5% from the 95% that it was. Still groused about the kernel thing. I guess one could use a 2.4 series, but Gentoo does not support them on the
