The keyword typename is already present in ISO/IEC 14882:2003(E) standard. So it wasn't introduced in c++11. Nevertheless some semantic changes might be possible for it in C++11. I would recomment you to get you a copy of the c++-drafts, so you can find this kind of answers yourself. Kai -
