Actually i had set the flag to -mwindows for compiling wxwidgets. So when i
ran the following command,
gcc -m32 -mconsole -o hello hello.c
could run the *.exe.

configure: WARNING: svn checkout incomplete, ddk headers missing.
But the headers are there! How do I know? If I run configure in the
mingw-w64-headers directory instead of doing it in a "build" directory I

into our headers/libraries and learn a bit about there structure but
you are already familiar with gcc, C, auto-make, etc, then it might be
a good start in do some easy review of existing code, add some
extensions,

If MPI is the priority, I would suggest to look at gcc toolchains from
www.equation.com. They are mingw-w64 based I believe...
