You should be able to. Better would be to delete all the old stuff and start
anew (don't knwo how old your msys folder is :) )
You can save your home folder if you want of course.

This is as complete as it comes, and is nothing more than a compilation of the
50+ binary packages provided by mingw.org. Instructions are in the readme.

I have MSYS installed along with MinGW64. I had a lot of help from this
group to get this working. I would like to know what files need to be
downloaded to get a complete version of MSYS? MSYS used to have an
installation file but this no longer seems to be available.
