I solved this by hacking src/common.c so as to only compare the procces
group name with parentgroup if strcmp("mailman", mygroup->gr_name) returns
non-zero. This solves the problem, but surely there must be a more elegant
solution.

I suspect you got a lot of bounces. Then mailman automatically
unsubscribed your members because of this.
You have to check your mailman logs and SMTP server logs, why you got
bounces from all addresses in your lists.

I had a successful mailman installation running on one server. Due to some HW
issues on that server that we have not been able to address, the mailman
installation was moved to a different, similar server. The qrunners all run,
and the cgi stuff works for UI of the lists, but no messages
n't see the held message in the admindb interface, the web

I have trouble upgrading an old installation of mailman-2.0.8 into
mailman-2.1.7 (Gentoo Linux with Python 2.4.2).
While installing the new version on top of the old, the "update" utility is
invoked, but then it fails with
"AttributeError: topics". No list gets migrate

I'm trying to intake Mailman 2.1.4 on my SlackWare 13.0 system.
I configure it with
"./configure
--prefix=/opt/mailman --with-mail-gid=mailman --with-cgi-gid=www"
and see no messages there.
But when I do a "make install" i see:

I have one question to which I could not find the answer in the
documentation:
how do I delete a mailing list?
