To everyone that answered my question, thank you very much! By trying some of the suggestions I spotted a simple mistake, that was most likely the problem. When I initially ran mhonarc on both lists i created, to convert existing archives, I did so as root, and I chmod the directories so mailman

I haven't looked at the Source code for it, but it appears to be telling you that Mailman is running the external Archiver (which you've setup as Mhonarc). The call to run the external Archiver returns a non-zero code, meaning that there was an error in running the external archive. Look at the c
