I recently had to rebuild a mailing list from scratch when I neglected to resize some virtual storage prior to trying to import 6 year's worth of old archives. I was able to salvage a little under 90% of the existing subscriptions and the archives are still there although I'm going to have to use

I can't find any reference to this possible issue: Is it OK to simply tar the Mailman directory and call that a backup? I ask because I'm not sure what the issues are surrounding this while the Mailman cron entries may or may not be running at the moment of tar. In the end, I'd like to be in a po
