I had a similar problem with one of my lists when i
upgraded from 2.0.x to 2.1.3, and solved it using the -f option
of remove_members (using the output from list_members).

I have solved the problem by using the remove_members
script (./remove_members list "[EMAIL PROTECTED] \"luis").
