At this point it's quite clear that the problem with this user is that he
keeps using the wrong password. I've told him that, but I somehow have to
(nicely) rub his nose in it. Without setting up an appointment with him and
travelling about 50 miles round trip (whic

thought were like themselves, who mostly didn't make mistakes, and who were
man enough not to need diagnostics when they did. Those were the days when
men were men. Whatever. It is what it is.
Personal consultation and observation appears to be the only approa
dent that it's always accurate and up to date, and
that they won't miss any messages.
But again, the big GENERAL question here is whether Mailman provides any way
of diagnosing such command failures.

If a mailing list is used, only senders and the list address appear. You can
even hide the sender behind the list keeping everyone anonymous. The list can
better deal with any Spam than what most individuals can.

upon their service's SPF fussiness, and others may have to root around in

field. I had the same problem when managing our VoIP PBX that only had a
password field without a user name. When a recent upgrade included a user
name field my problems went away.
know of a way to only do the newalias command when the supplied
file is complete? Or can the genaliases mechanism build the whole file before
calling the POSTFIX_ALIAS_CMD just once at the end?

Oddly enough, I have the opposite problem. We do want monthly reminders,
but everyone is getting two identical reminder messages each month. How
do I limit this to a single reminder without turning off reminders

I received three unsubscribe confirmations over night. I did not initiate

The system doesn't appear to be out of memory, as suggested by another message
exchange here. The system has python 2.2.3 installed. Can anyone suggest a line

We've set up chain of hierarchical lists to accommodate annual groups.
Each year we create a list for the new cohorts:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]
[EMAIL PROTECTED]

and then add the new class-of list to the umbrella list:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]
Each list is set to allow
two lists worked with that setting and the one didn't. Another
strange aspect is that there were no errors logged for this. The latter
warrants further investigation.

How do I find out the passwords of subscribers with out clicking on the 'send me my password button'?

when I ran dumpdb on one of my lists' config
files, it's got the old /home/mailman path listed for the 'archive_directory'
entry.
Anyone got any ideas how I can fix this, or at least collect more info as to
why it's failing.

Yes, it is good to be able to customize each lists listinfo.html,
but it'd also be nice to be able to customize the welcome
message text that gets sent out to new subscribers.
For announce only lists, I'd like to remove the misleading
paragraph explaing how to post to a list which I've made moderat
Please consider switching the base code of mailman to send quarterly instead
of monthly 'reminders' to subscribers. As an avid subscriber of lists, it's
annoying to get these messages every month, when every 3 or 6 months would
suffice.
