Is there a way to configure pipermail or mailman to render html emails
in the archives instead of just printing out the raw html code?

Can you do this with sendmail?

There is a 'list_members' program in the /home/mailman/bin dir.
try "/home/mailman/bin/list_members | grep xxx.yyy.zz"
I believe you can also send a message to the listname-request address
with 'who' in the subject. To get the users.

The footer is there, you just cant see it.
The footer is put after the closing html tag:
text of your email
your footer
Your footer is ignored by the mail client because it is not within the
html tags.

One person starts a discussion to add more qmail docs, then suddenly a
couple more people ask for help with qmail.
Another person asks if mailman will run on Windows, and suddenly a few more
people do the same.
I wish i knew how to use qmail or write python.

Is this better for performance?
Can I tell mailman to use another server to send the mail?

Here are a couple of hacks you can use to add this functionality to
mailman.

Note that these are hacks and are not official components of mailman.
I think i heard somewhere that mailman will be implementing passwordless

Is there a way to allow an entire domain to send but not others?
I would like to allow *@nandomedia.com to send to my mailing list, but
