I fixed mine (qmail on FreeBSD) by allowing localhost to relay. I added the following to the top of /etc/hosts.allow tcp-env: 127. 10.11.12.13 : setenv RELAYCLIENT This command allows access for tcp-env (the tcp wrapper in inetd.conf for smtp) from 127.x.x.x subnet and from my local ip address

I just installed mailman on a FreeBSD 4.4 system with qmail. I created a new list and received an email that it was created. I went to the info page and tried to subscribe. The subscribe script ran okay because the subscribe request is in the pending queue. There is a non descript bounce error
