We have set up a series of actions for a list manager to take if a
subscriber is breaking the list rules, starting with one-week
hand-moderation (so the list managers have to approve the subscriber's
posts). The final action is to throw the person off the list.

Yes, I know, and we're doing that, but I'm suggesting that in the next rev,
the default pages should start out better.

We just moved abotu 150 lists to Mailman, and overall we're loving it (see
www.uua.org/mailman/listinfo for the lists). However, our subscribers are
consistently confused by the web pages and messages that Mailman sends. For
the next version, would you be open to a redesign of the default pages
I've heard of list servers that bounce messages if the new content
(non-quoted text) is fewer lines than the quoted material. We've got some
clueless subscribers that persist in quoting entire threads while adding
only a paragraph or two.
Has anyone modified Mailman to do this?

Can anyone tell me what happens if a list manager address starts bouncing?
We currently use ListProc, which can get into horrible mail loops when a
manager address bounces. I can try an experiment, but I'd rather find out
ahead of time if the results will be ugly!

I'm one of the site managers of a ListProc site that may be moving to
MailMan. (I'm the person who holds the list managers' and subscribers'
hands.) We have almost 200 lists with about 16,000 subscribers total.
