support admins are members of
the list. When a user asks for help, and either a user or admin
responds, everyone gets a copy of the response. Often a user will
respond to the admin, not both the admin and support list.

I try, the mail is either passed through as html
or converted to plain text without issue.
Could the remote server be munging the headers etc and that causes Mailman to
strip everything out from the body?

Here's what I think is the relevant bit of header and body:

I fixed the issue by editing /etc/mailman/mm_cfg and changing:

Then running /var/lib/mailman/bin/genaliases

Hi again
When getting your list administrators to use email commands that
require authentication where in the email is the password put in? in the
body? the subject? I imagine this is very easy and once again I have

3. Modify my DB table to map the Mailman send list addresses to a vendors.
Thus my program sends a mail to that address and Mailman distributes it to
the members.
Does all this sound reasonable?
Thanks for all the help thus far :-)

Actually it doesn't really need to be in MySQL. As long as Mailman handles
the add and removing of addresses to a list and creates an alias for each
list, my java program could be tweaked to send mail to all alias rather than
a set of email addresses (as it does now).
Thanks,
Luke
? Will I have to change our database of

It all just dissapears into a void once exim pipes it to mailman!
Any ideas what's going on here?

Hello,
I am kinda new to mailman, and was just wondering if there is a place I
can read about how to configure mailman to use virtual domains. for
example to show on all the web-pages [EMAIL PROTECTED] instead
of [EMAIL PROTECTED] I tried to use aliases but they do not fix
this problem. My MTA is
configure will be much happier if you provide the number. It is
telling you what number to use! :) reconfigure with 12. Dunno how
your particular passwd is set up but it appears that mail is running
under gid 12 so...you have a line something like this in /etc/passwd
"mail:x:8:12:mail:/va
g me that these addresses have
been disabled in the manner of changing them to "no mail".
If anyone has some ideas on a fix that would be great! I have not
been able to find anything so far in the archives.
My system is:
Yellow Dog Linux 1.2.1 2.2.0
Mailman 2.0.6
Sendmail
Powermac
Consider setting $PYTHONHOME to [:]
so this gets mailed to you every time python is run- a LOT.
The solution to this (figured out by Philippe Rodriguez) is simply this:
mkdir /opt/python/lib/python1.6/lib-dynload
Just wanted to pass that along.
