When I attach a document to a posting, the attachment gets to the list
fine, but there is another attachment "Unnamed Text Dcoument1.txt",
which contains the footer that is actually supposed to be included in
the message. The message contains no footer.
How do I fix that?

plus allow .doc, .rtf, .jpg and a few other types. How do I set the
mime types to allow them?
