I am not an expert, but I would bet that writing a python script using
withlist to manipulate the objects within the list would have a better
performance footprint than using config_list.
Just a guess and I am sure that it require more programming than a
config_list solution.

I took over managing our mailman lists a few months ago and have become
pretty adept with the command line utilities.
Recently I got a request to remove the owner of a couple of our lists.
I know that I can do this from the web, but is there a way to remove
list owners from the command line?
