Hello, everyone.
I am experiencing two problems with my Mailman lists and wanted to ask if
any of you know the solutions.

Would this generate the change in the e-mail sent by Mailman so that it
would display the server name instead of the domain name ?
Thank you again for your help.

Mark,
Based on what you describe below I thought of perhaps another alternative to
this problem.
Since there is a process in Apple's Server Admin application that keeps
changing Mailman's mm_cfg.py file I think it is safe to assume it expects to
find this file there to keep it updated and its re
Mark,
Just as you suspected changing permissions to r--r--r-- didn't resolve the
problem. The file is still edited after the permission have been modified.

What are your thoughts on this matter ?

I have contacted numerous Apple consultants but couldn't find a single one
who had any experience with Mailman.

Hi Mark (Sapiro) and other members,
While discussing some possible DNS set-up issues I might need to resolve on
my server a certain IT professional mentioned to me that Mailman shouldn't
be run using a virtual domain. I am not sure if this professional was
referring to virtual domains in general
Larry,
Thank you for your help and suggestions. I have researched your
recommendations and am now learning about the specific commands you

Mark,
I located the Postfix's main.cf file in /private/etc/postfix/main.cf and
made the change you recommended. I then stopped Main services and restarted
it.
What is the best way to test if the list is now working properly ?
Also, I followed a discussion on another forum where a new user repor
bar of the server computer has the proper time but the
Terminal window seems to be almost a day behind. Could this be a problem ?
Thanks again,
Joe

Hello, All.
I've just set up my first Mailman mailing list in OS X Server. It sends mail
as welcome notifications were received by several different members
subscribed to the mailing list. However, it doesn't seem to be receiving
e-mail. All attempts I've made have resulted in Delivery Failure

first post to the list. I have just purchased a Mac server with Snow Leopard
server installed and one of the main reasons for the purchase was my plan to
set-up some mailing lists. The following are some questi
