Initial test with suggestion 1 is looking good.
I think it may be that a few more tweaks and it'll be there.
Many thanks

'From:' field is the name of the member then again it gets held for

through based on either the 'Reply To:' or the 'To' field.
Thanks in advance

is several lists.
Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can do this. I have access to the
python source on my machine so I can modify if need be.
Apologies if the detail above is a bit excessive.

Sorry, I forgot to make a post... I found out what the problem was and the
mailing list is fully functional now.
I do have another question, is it possible to edit the email template so
that the solid bars don't appear above and below the message?

I am in the process of setting up mailman version 2.1.5 for one of my clients. For
some reason, mailman is not sending individual posts when I test the list. It is
placing the test posts into the archives.
Would someone please assist me in getting this working correctly?

Unfortunately, good ol' AOL makes mincemeat out of either, when receiving
digests. Put that together with the computer savvy of the general AOL-user,
I would like to hear about solutions or work-arounds to avoid the html code
that appears in the digests. This is particularly a problem for my
subscribers who have aol addresses. I'm finding it nearly impossible to
train my subscribers to all send their posts as plain text to begin

Is there a "this is how to do it, stupid" guide to how to send commands via
email. None of the variations I've tried so far seem to work, and I'm
finding the "help" command to be cryptic.
I need step-by-step instructions, mostly for the benefit of my list members
to the effect of:

I mistakenly entered a subscription on one of my
lists in this way:
example(at)example.com persons_name
This causes some minor error messages for list
administration, and it seems to be impossible to simply unsubscribe the example@example_persons_name
address.
