On the same note, is there a way to make changes to the user settings
for all users on a list? For example, have everyone receive MIME
attachments rather than plain.

You should be able to send those to a list no problem, so long as the
attachment doesn't exceed the maximum allowed size (max_message_size in
general options), or break any filter rules you may have set. If
someone is receiving digests in "plain" format, then the attachment will
be scrubbed and th
I'm running a list where all new users receive a digest by default (I
actually submitted a bug about this because they're not set to digest by
default when mass subscribing, but that's not really what this is
about.) I have the crontab (edited with crontab -e mailman) set to send
the digests at 11
so I can
approve or reject the message.
Is this possible?

I recently installed Mailman, replacing Majordomo, and I just used the
mass subscription feature and fed it my Majordomo subscriber lists. I'm
wondering what, if any, my subscribers' initial passwords are, or how I
could set them.
