I am on Debian 2.6.8. I used apt-get to update Python to 2-4 and
the latest version of mailman. I used one archive in sources.list;
deb http://http.us.debian.org/debian stable main contrib non-free
When I attempt to start it I get this message:

Hi,
I have searched through the archives and I have found the question,
but never the answer.
I maintain some lists and 99% or more of what I get to the admin
address spam that has been effectively been dealt with. It got so I just
told everyone one the list to write me directly with proble
om
e.12.9, but was supposed to just be a security fix. My other lists
work fine. Could there be some character in one of the files that is
blowing up sendmail? I am not sure how to debug this.
