This is a 2+ year server. Nothing else has ever had a problem including
sending mail. As for the crypto validated part i am running BIND 9.0.0. If
you let me know how to check it I can verify that the _get_fqdn_hostname()
is working properly.

I more than likely missed a simple step somewhere in the installation
process however I am gettng the following errors in the logs/smtp.

I had digest mode on by mistake if you have sent a response reguarding the
NOQUEUE: IDENT:ident@ [ipaddress]
did not issue MAIL/EXPN/VRFY/ETRN during connection to MTA problem please
