I checked the FAQ and found no entry for this. I assume it
is probably a very standard question so admins may want to
add to the FAQ.
Is there a standard address protocol for list members who
wish to join a mailman list by email without using the web
form? I have tried '[EMAIL PROTECTED]' and

So sorry. It's early and haven't had the first cup of coffee
yet. That was meant for the Thunderbird Support list...

I've checked settings in both prefs and each account but
when I delete a message in an IMAP account in TB other mail
clients are still downloading it later on. Is there a
setting that I've missed that is causing messages to remain
on the server?

I see from the FAQ that it is possible to set all list
member settings to moderated. I also see that it is possible
to set the privacy settings such that future new subscribers
have the moderated flag. What I don't see is if it is
possible to do what I want, which is to set the settings

Jim - Thanks for this. I'm curious as to why this isn't a stock feature in
mm and whether they may plan on adding it. Most all mlm's I know of have

I know many (most) on this list have full time jobs that make it
difficult to take on project work, but are there folks on this
list who are willing to do installs, upgrades, customizations
etc. of Mailman on a fee basis? If so, can you contact me
off-list with your hourly rate? [EMAIL PROTECTED
I'm using mailman 2.1.2
As I recall in the archives of last year there was a post about a patch that
could be installed in 2.0 that would allow moderators and admins to modify

for approving held posts, there was a box that I could check that would

I'm using 2.0 on a VPS account at Verio.
2.1 won't install properly but I need it to have the multiple virtual

Is there anyone on this list who has successfully installed 2.1 on a VPS?

Has anyone with a similar configuration installed 2.1 yet successfully or
know if 2.1 is compatible with a virtual install?

I have a few questions and spent some time in the archives but didn't find
them, so hoping someone can help:
1. There is no mention that I can see in the admin guide for how to import a
mailing list that is a discussion list, with both digest and 'mail'
subscribers, and maintain delivery settings
