For better clarification, the www domain is hosted on a
different (dedicated) web server. Mailman is running on a vServer of its
own, it just uses as a nice readable domain for mail
addresses, configured on the web server to forward each mail to the real
physical (and not so nicely readable

This bounce message clearly indicates that your IP address doesn't have
a reverse DNS entry. This is a standard lookup done as a part of spam
fighting efforts. You need to get your provider to set the reverse DNS
for your IP address to the domain name of your mail server if possible.
