Ok, so now I ran ./configure and make install again the following
options set:
--with-mail-gid=mail
--with-cgi-gid=apache
Then I restarted the mailmanctl with "bin/mailmanctl restart".
This time it looked like it tried to run the "join" script when I sent
an email request to the "test-

We are running Mailman 2.1.9 on a Centos server. I recently had a
request from a list owner that they would like to use the "Request a
delivery receipt for this message" option in Outlook to all members
in a particular list to verify that users have opened a

We're getting closer. I changed the symbolic link in /etc/smrsh to the
following:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] smrsh]# ls -l
total 0
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 31 May 6 13:18 mailman ->
/usr/local/mailman/mail/mailman

I retried emailing the list using my test-join alias and now got the

Ok, this seems to have gotten me past the list create error. I was able
to create another test list through the web interface. So now I just
need to resolve the following:
1. Fix the apache web server so that it can resolve
my-hostname.domain.com.
2. Fix my mailman and other prior test
