My customers are upset about privacy issues .. re: appended email
addresses on the new bounce probe. I maintain 3 lists tat are all set up
as announce only and my subcribers are kind of paranoid about emmail
privacy ... so please consider removing the appended email eddresses on
a "bounce probe

How do I prevent posting to my mailing list using mailman? I only want to be
able to send mail to my subscribers, not have thme post too.

You want to set up a mailing list for announcements only. Read the

Hello, When I send an email to (as an example) [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the
subject subscribe - it does not subscribe me. When I send an email to (as an
example) [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the subject unsubscribe it does not unsubscribe
me. I can subscribe and unsubscribe through the administration p

Are you sure? This message comes from Mailman/Handlers/SpamD

Ok, so I've figured my issue out, but I would really appreciate someone
explianing to me what's happening. I'm using Mailman version 2.1.5 on Red
Hat Enterprise 3.0 update 4. Originally, Mailman made two entries in
/etc/aliases under 'Mailman Aliases':
