Hi,
We have Mailman version 2.1.2 running. I recently ran into a queer problem:
Selective HTML attachments sent to any list on our site are getting zipped.
Mailman seems to be zipping them as they are not zipped when addressed directly
to an email address. I have verified that any content filt
Hi All,
I've reviewed the FAQ's but didn't find what I was looking for, so I'm
hoping someone here will have an idea. I'm running Mailman 2.1.5 and on the
standard 'Lists Overview Page', underneath the 'Welcome Message', there is a
text line that states, "If you are having trouble using the lists,

When I access the threaded views on the archives of our list, the
threads continue moving to the right excessively until they are
completely off the page. You have to scroll right to see them at
all. Is there a way to fix this?
I'd really like it to look like this:

Wouldn't that be the address that messages for [EMAIL PROTECTED]
are sent
I hope I'm just not missing the forest for the trees, but when I go to
http://your-server/mailman/admin/mailman/members, the only options I have
are to view the Members List, or tend to Addtional Member Tasks. Am I just
missing it? I can go down into Mass Subscriptions or Mass Removals, however

Each time I attempt to create a list in Mailman version 2.1.5 I
receive the following:
RuntimeError: command failed: /usr/sbin/postalias
/usr/local/mailman/data/aliases (status: 1, Operation not permitted)
When I check the aliases file it is owned by root in the group mailman,

Hello,
We recently installed mailman 2.1.5, and are just starting to move it
into production. There are a couple of problems:
1) the checkdbs job is generating multiple messages to owners/moderators
of lists, notifying them of pending messages. The cron logs show a
single run, but the smtp lo

Ach, reply to this ... thanks very much for
I was of the same mind as Jardar, as I too thought that was for the
mailman-owner. What I am noticing is that if I send mail to the
[EMAIL PROTECTED] account, I personnally do not receive anything. This is
confusing because my personal address, [EMAIL PROTECTED] is the list
administrator address fo

You can enter names and bracketed email addresses in the mass
subscription form.

The bin/add_members script can also accept real names, and is oft

I was wondering what sort of add-ons or patches or whatever are
available to allow people with permission to search private mailman
archives.
I have seen various patches or add-ons for mailman that allow one to
search public archives, but because they work by crawling the archives
