Damar,
What that part of the FAQ is referring to is under the Membership
Management portion of the list administration page. Clicking on that
link should bring you to a page with a table of all of your subscribers
whose addresses start with an 'a'. At the bottom of the page is an
option to "Se

Hello all,
I am having a little bit of a hard time with what is essentially a
downgrade. Some background: the company I work for recently took over
the backend sysadmin work for an ISP that runs about 50 mailman lists on
one of their servers. After some looking around and getting accustomed

Hi,
Firstly, my apology to the list that I posted the question before going through FAQ
thoroughly.
Since the version of my Mailman is 2.1.4, I have followed "How to do it in Mailman
2.1" section of the FAQ. In this section, I could not understand the last para of this
section. Can some on
Hi ALL,
Some users in my company had their outlook configurated for break messages greater
than 100k (for example).
When someone send a 200K message, the outlook divide it in 2 parts, deliver to
mailman and the mailman deliver 2 messages to the mailman users and the Outlook of

Hello,
Below is the description of a preprocessor script I wrote for mailman. I
was looking to emulate the Topica.com features of "-subscribe",
"-unsubscribe" and "-post-" in an efficient and
extensible manner.
I am seeking feedback on the script and I have two areas that are troubling
right now
Do I need to update the data under $prefix/lists/ when upgrading from 2.0.X
to 2.1.X? If so, how? I don't see any mention of it in the 2.1.3 INSTALL or
UPGRADING document, but when I try the upgrade with 2.0.8-era lists/ data,
I get errors about missing properties. (fields?)

I am currently installing Mailman as a replacement for majordomo. Mostly
everything is going smoothly.
I have a question regarding umbrella lists. I have 4 "real" mailing lists
and 5 aliases that redirect to some or all of these lists.
For the sake of explanation let's call the "real" lists :
Greetings
How can i create a list with out having the hostname of the server
displayed in the list?

I create a new list and it shows up as " [EMAIL PROTECTED] "
How can i get it to create [EMAIL PROTECTED] by default?

I have a set my site to default all new members of any list to be
moderated. One list wants it set off by default and has manually
switched each subscriber's mod bit to off. But it still requires the
subcribers messages to be aproved. Whats going on with that?

Hi!
I've successfully installed Mailman-2.1.3 for the first time, everything
works fine, only one thing doesn't: when I try to get my list's private
archives, after entering email address and password, the links (thread,
subject etc.) are pointing to invalid addresses: the list's name parts are

Hi!
What do I have to set in mm_cfg-py to enable personalisation by default
for new lists (not full personalisation). In listconfigs i saw, that
personalize = 1
would be the thing to set, but is it possible to use this setting in
mm_cfg.py?
Thanks!
