Ok, I scrapped the redhat stupid rpm that broke half of mailman and
installed form scratch. Much better. It doesn't bounce every time.
I have the url and mailhost setup to the appropriate servers. The apache
dir is fine. Aliases are fine.

In my Defaults.py file I changed my email host, but when someone
subscribes it still comes from the same as the URL host. How do I make
the email come from the Email host as specified in the config file ?

I'm running Mailman 2.1.1 on a FreeBSD 4.8 server, with Sendmail as the
MTA. It's installed from the Ports collection. We've been experiencing
a problem were a user posts to a list, and the message is not delivered
right away. From the mail logs, we can see that the post is being

My system runs on Windows but all of the doc suggests it only runs on Unix.
Will it run on Windows? If so, is is there anything special to do? If it
doesn't support Winodws, is that likely to change any time soon?

I've got things configured to the best that I can see. When I post into
the newsletter alias, I don't see any errors in maillog. I've got mailman
in /etc/smrsh. The log file shows the whole "| mailman post newsletter
We would love to see this, also, the ability to strip off attached files!

Typically the users' email addresses have been having problems. It is
unfortunate that Mailman doesn't have an option to notify you about
every bounce (should you indeed want that) so you can alert subscribers
(should you have an alternate contact for them).

Are you sure you have the archive set "public" on the
"archiving options" page?
