You could edit the crontab to not run for those days, but that would

I hate coming in on monday and finding 100 admin request to verify knowing
that 2/3rds of them are from saturday and sunday.

If you get "2" from exim-transport this means that exim can't call successfully the
mail-wrapper, cause he uses an illegal GID.
You have to set the mail-GID-option right !!
