This is weird. Just created a new mailing list called "Junk", and
successfully administrated the options throughout the mailing list. I had
a friend of mine subscribe to the list via the webpage, got email
verification, and he responded to it. I tried to get back in to the Junk

mailman used the SMTP envelope to determine who the message was from.
It now uses the Sender: header. Is there a bit to flip that would
cause it to work the old way?

How about easy setup for qmail users?
The text README.QMAIL bites. It uses vague terminology and doesn't give much
help :P

Ok, so you then add the "domain" that is used for the mailing
list to the sendmail.cw file or it's equivalent (domains I
accept mail for).
Would the secondary/third servers then then try to deliver

A simpler solution would be to use backup mail servers. It would
be fairly hard (IMHO) to keep multiple mailman installs in sync.
I would use the main DSL server to actually run the list, but add
in 2 other MX servers to "hold" your mail until your line comes
back...

I've seen the same thing (2.0.1). I'd be interested to know if there's a
remedy available or in the works. At best it's a nusance. At worst, as you
say, it can confuse people.

Greetings,
i've released a new version of mailman-cmd tools.
I've fixed some bugs, and added two features (values assumed by config
variables are printed in human readble form, there is a command to know
which values can be assued by variables).
This package can be downloaded from
ftp://chiara.
Or sent an email to -request@ with subject
'who' (without quotes) and empty message.
Try to send a message with subject 'help' : you'll have all the directive
you can use by sending an email to -request.
