it is real time decoding."

Thanks for the reply. I checked in verbose mode and the Hikvision camera does
send 'Option not supported' (removed authorization bits):

seems to keep streaming from the camera indefinitely. To save bandwidth it
would be nice if the stream from backend could be closed automatically after
some time.

I guess it is possible to change quality/resolution of a stream while it is
being viewed.
