Thaks for this lot of informations.
The things I realized are somewhere 'bad' way to realize it, but what I
did is :
Copy WAVAdioFileSource.cpp to ReaStreamAudio.cpp my own file
Copy WAVAudioFileServerMediaSubsession.cpp to
ReaStreamFileServerMediaSubsession.cpp
with they corresponding .h
As someone knows, I asked to Ross Finlayson to integrate one more kind of
stream in the sources.
the specification of this stream is to be able to play aver RTSP an 48khz
24bits wav audio files.
And now this works very well.
But I would like to do something else with this kind of stream,
I can give you an address, but I would like to give it only to you because
our dedicated server is only for bands, producers.
So from I prefer not to send this link on a public area as is this mailing
list, just because the files it contains are not dedicated for public
streaming, because
I just compiled and tested live555MediaServer.
I stream some wav audio files, they are 48khz 24 bits.
Every thing is working perfect ! but with long files with VLC when I move
the cursor around 31:06 (minutes) or more I get a sound like with/pink
noise.
If I put the cursor before (let's s
Here is one you can download. Hope you will love this song ;o)

thanks.
Can you just tell me the source file you will modify ? I suppose it's :
WAVAudioFileSource.cpp in the live/media directory.
Thanks a lot and best regards.

It's very e
It's very easy to provide such a file !
But if you tell me where to look in the code, I can look in it and try to
adapt it to 24 bits.
So form I will able to test it on my Linux server.
Thanks a lot.
But if you prefer an short stereo 48k 24 bits ask me.
Best regards.

I mean that
I mean that there is no RFC about streaming 48khz/24bit. The official RTSP
allow only 48khz/16bit.
So from, it needs to modify the source code to allow 24 bits streaming.
The result is that there is no free software (that cover the 3 main OS)
that people can dowload that allows to ear 48k
Can we guess to stream 48khz 24 bits uncompressed wav file one day with
Live555 ?

Thank you, excellent insight.
I apologize for not using the correct terminology, still learning here.
The requirement is being set by the third party, it is a system used in
broadcasting and i
