FYI, I've now installed a new version (2012.09.11) of the "LIVE555 Streaming
Media" code that fixes the problem with clients occasionally sending RTCP "RR"
packets 'early' (when streaming RTP/RTCP-over-TCP).

Dear Ross,
First of all I am really sorry for the multiple emails on the same topic. I had
some problem with my outlook, that caused this problem.
Coming to the point.
I mean I didn't find those source files in the testProgs directory also.
I figured out for my requirement I need to use the

What's the differences, benefits and disadvantages of each? How does it
compare to paid versions like helix? Being a computer engineer, how long
will it take me to master either so that I can integrate it into my
existing website in an on demand YouTube type fashion.

Hi everyone,
I'm using RTSP Proxy Server with no problems and I'm trying to apply filters in

I have extended the live555 to support mp4 file. But when playing ,the vlc has
no process bar and the total time's indicator(it's 00:00 at the lower right

Hello everyone,
I'm trying to do the following:
Using the live555MediaServer, return a specified video when client requests
an url ending with .sdp.
I think what I need to do is first, generate an sdp file from the video

Don't worry; I know where the issue lies (it's a bug/deficiency in the LIVE555
RTSP proxying code; see below).

Hi!
In my previous post, I forgot to mention that I could get it to work by
"cheating" a little bit on the RTP clocks. If I replace the 16000Hz clock of
the mpeg stream by 9, the same as h264, the two streams sync in the same
range and play properly. I saw some VLC whining in the logs tho

Unfortunately I don't know. It's been several years since we've done anything
with "SIPClient" (or the "playSIP" application), but it might be informative to
look at a *successful* protocol exchange (with the same accou
I came across playSIP, and it appears to do exactly what I'm after. However…
No matter what I do, I always get a 407 Proxy Authentication Required.
I've checked around line 493 of SIPClient.cpp, and confirmed that the realm and
nonce are being parsed correctly.
Assuming this might be the fault
