Do you think the freezes on the STB could be caused be dropped packets? In
that case sending any other similarly bitrated stream to the STB should
show the same behaviour. I'll test it.

You are right, the DCM it's on the other side of the cable. But I don't
believe there shouldn't be much difference: it's a GB network with only the
PC and the DCM in it and only one stream flowing. Anyway, it's a worthy
test. I'll tell you what happens.
