Sounds reasonable. The full magnet can be displayed in a tooltip when
hovering over the magnet. Note that I don't think we should shorten
regular web links.

I think we should add better error-checking for xdg-utils. I don't think
we should add a build dependency since it's not required to build the
program, but probably we should show up an error dialog instead of just
writing to stderr as we do now.

What's the version you are using? And your distro is (and OS)?
Can't spot anything useful from the backtrace given so you probably need
to build a debug version and send full bt from that.
Is this reproducable? == Does this happen every time or has it happened
just once or with certain files?
