I find that the latest drivers for the saa716x require spi but the necessary
symbols
are unresolved. My f10 kernel .config shows CONFIG_SPI=n.
Is this correct? How can I load the saa driver?

in the meantime I've switched over to Arch Linux - you probably appreciate the
choice. I did this because of the lean system and a more recent kernel (now
2.6.28 series). After compiling the latest v4l-dvb version, an
$ lsmod | grep af
results to the following:

I recently switched to openSUSE 11.1 and kernel 2.6.27.7. From that time
I get the following warning at boot.
I didn't get the problem with openSUSE 11.0 and kernel 2.6.25.20
It occurs in 64 bits and 32 bits.

and therefor the driver knows (driver -> first abstraction layer between
