Dear Developers,
I started this thread a year ago, but unfortunately the Frameworks version
is still in progress as of today, too. I know that you develop KMyMoney in
your free-time and I also know that is of short sometimes.
I just would like to ask if it's possible, it requires less time, to st

Hi Thomas,
I've been using the kf5 port of kmymoney for a while now. I've also
helped port other applications to kf5. What aspects need to be looked
at? I can take a look with some guidance. Last time I looked through
the kmymoney code I got lost pretty quickly :) It's a big code base.

Hi Ákos,
I would not recommend the current master state for daily usage. Too many
things have been commented out and still need to be ported to KF5. Maybe, one
of the KF5 porting gurus can shed some more light on the functions that are
not available.

Thomas

Dear Developers,
I'd like to ask whether the current status of the KF5 port is suitable for
everyday usage. As I recently saw in the commit log short messages [1], few
KF5-related commits arrived. Does it mean that I can compile an own version
(or notify openSUSE packagers to update their version)
Hello,
I assume we can make enough progress in Randa to open the frameworks branch for
early adopters and power users (with some limitations and missing features).
Currently I am only developing on the frameworks branch. So I can say that
KMyMoney is stable enough for developing. However there
Hi,
first of all: sorry for the late reply. I am just too busy.

Dear All,
I would like to kindly ask you if you can tell an estimate about the
release of KF5 version of KMyMoney. As I see in the commit log [1] the
framework branch gets some love from time to time. How usable is it in its
current state?
KDEPIM guys did a lot of fixes and features for the PIM i

The rolling version of openSUSE, Tumbleweed, will migrate to the KF5-based PIM
suite in their next snapshot. Announcement is here:

You asked whether the new kde-pim was finished already. The situation is the
old releases receive no further updates and are not packaged by distributions
either.
There are some critical fixes (like this one: [1]) which might be
Alvaro, thanks for creating the draft release notes. Next weekend I'll
start by releasing alkimia, and depending on the available time, I
might also release KMyMoney.

Hi all,
I'll try to sit down today and come up with a draft of the release notes for
review.

First we need to release the current master as 4.8.0 and create the
4.8 branch, so the task of creating the release notes for 4.8.0 like

Hello Jack,
Unfortunately, it does use Akonadi in a mandatory way. The package has the
following dependencies:
- kdepimlibs4 >= 4.14.0
- akonadi-runtime < 1.13.40
- akonadi-runtime >= 1.13.0
Christian also stated this earlier in his mail [1].

Unfortunately, old and new version of Akonadi is not co-installable, so in
order to use KMail5, KMyMoney has to be removed.
