what version are you using?
Unfortunately, it's not a problem in KMyMoney, but a problem of Unity
not playing nice with non-Unity applications, and we have no way to
fix that from inside KMyMoney's code.

Problem is the main window can not be resized which is not a major problem

you cannot use the MS Money files with KMyMoney.
You have to import the files from MS Money to a suitable file format, like
QIF. The option varies depending on the version of MS Money you use, which
you didn't mention.
