You asked whether the new kde-pim was finished already. The situation is the
old releases receive no further updates and are not packaged by distributions
either.
There are some critical fixes (like this one: [1]) which might be
Alvaro, thanks for creating the draft release notes. Next weekend I'll
start by releasing alkimia, and depending on the available time, I
might also release KMyMoney.

Unfortunately, it does use Akonadi in a mandatory way. The package has the
following dependencies:
- kdepimlibs4 >= 4.14.0
- akonadi-runtime < 1.13.40
- akonadi-runtime >= 1.13.0
