I've been using KMM for several years & in general am very satisfied.
However... last year I tried to do a number of things "quickly" & now
appeaar to be somewhat "Stuck"!
1) I seem to have lost my files for 2017. I can find them in a version

Interesting behaviour! After having saved the KMyMoney database using the
Lubuntu installation mentioned in Comment 3, my Fedora installation follows
suit and allows entering accented characters. Whatever has

Well, it also works in Lubuntu 18.04.2 LTS with KMyMoney 5.0.0, KDE Frameworks
5.44.0, Qt 5.9.5 (compiled against 5.9.5).
Fedora issue???
