case 1:
start kmm, select Ledgers view, account selection combobox is blank, stale
account is shown (in my case a closed chequing account).
case 2:
start kmm, select Investments view, this is OK, first

If you shutdown KMM and restart the changes take and then the Tags can be
reclosed.

There is no way to re-close this Tag because the checkbox is on and any changes

I think I just looked at 1 class that all it said was "re-implemented for
internal reasons" and assumed the rest of the documentation was like that.
Doxywizard produced good results.
