No. This has been discussed in detail on the AqBanking mailing list long time
ago and the general consent was not to provide automatic conversion. One of the
reasons I remember was, that you could easily run into

Would it be possible to automatically convert umlauts (e.g. ä -> ae) so that
payees with umlauts in their names can be used for sepa transactions? I don't
want to change the payees name as it's the correct spelling
