OK, have been hunting in detail through the KDE KMM bug tracker and have found
bug 249844 from 2010 which is very closely related. Plenty of discussion there
where some developers claim this issue is "by design". He

Hi,
I'm using the same settings as Thomas but for the NetBank (which uses
the server of the Sparda Bank). And those settings work for me.
