Might be related to the radeon HD audio device. I have Radeon HD 5000
graphics card with HDMI output and the audio works quite ok with alsa,
but jackd gives tons of xruns, no matter what period/buffer settings I
try. This BUG could be the reason for that. I'm getting this:
BUG: pcmC1D0c:0, pos = 5
I tested the 3.14 lowlatency and seems that this bug is fixed for me at
least. No more BUG info to kern.log and jackd is able to run just fine.
Using kernel:

Hello Christopher,
First of all, I apologize for late response.
Secondly, I have updated my BIOS, and bug still persists, here is the terminal
output from those two suggested lines:
user@user:~$ sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s
bios-release-date
[sudo] password for user:
V1.35
Upstream Linux releases on amd64 are not affected by mentioned earlier
freeze bug, thus I was able to test Wi-Fi bug on them and this Wi-Fi
issue still persists in upstream releases.

I don't know, I started using Ubuntu from Saucy, I guess I could try to

Due to unforeseen events this all have taken much more than "a couple of
minutes", heh.
Bug appears to be non-existent in 12.04.0 but I still get frequent connection
drops, although I doubt I can blame them entirely on the kernel this time.

Hi Joseph,
While issue _seems_ to persist in mainline kernel, mainline kernel, due to some
newly introduced bug, makes my OS permanently freeze every 2-3 minutes, forcing
me to restart, thus, I cannot really make any solid empirical conclusion on the
state of the bug in newer versions. For now,
Penalvch,
Because one or two people decide to purchase a USB wireless card, which
has to be carried around with them so they can have network access,
doesn't mean everybody is going to be able to get by with that Bandaid.

OH crap BTW!!
This is NOT a ubuntu only problem. This problem, as I have stated in my
first post, affects debian, ubuntu, fedora, arch linux. I have not tried
other distros besides those listed.
So Larry, if you are much more knowledgeable in fedora than say ubuntu
it might be a good idea to work

Its 6 pm now so expect a reply tonight so it will be there for you when
your ready.
Thank you
