I sent my computer to suspend mode and my computer locked up (blank
screen, power and WiFi LEDs on, when suspend mode works it's just the
power LED flashing once per second), so I had to press Power button for
5 seconds to shut my laptop off.
Problem report shows when restart

Somes minutes later there was a new kernel package for 14.04. Upgraded
and rebooted, first suspend mode test has worked. I will check some more
times.

Is the fix a new kernel release? Because under the latest kernel for 14.04 (as
I'm writing):

I'm still running 3.14.0-rc7 and, after installed a batch of updates
which included the latest distro kernels, systems has stopped being able
to be suspended.
