I've got a bit confused about the behavior of the system so I restarted

1. Install clean image on SD card.
2. Block internet access of the RPI, so no updates to be installed on first

3. Reboot
4. Remove 50-cloud-init.yaml f

I tested with new router, which supports 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks. When

I have installed the missing packages from:
ppa:oem-solutions-group/intel-ipu6
Here is the result of the commands you asked for:
stefang@capella:~$ sudo apt-cache policy v4l2-relayd libipu6 libcamhal0
v4l2-relayd:
Installed: 0~git202104290610.f14d6d4~ubuntu20.04.1
Candidate: 0~git202104290610.
It looks like the gst-plugins-icamera failed to build:

I needed to install libdrm-dev when trying to locally compile
gst-plugins-icamera even with libdrm-dev installed the compilation fails with:
utils.cpp:64:41: error: ‘V4L2_PIX_FMT_P010’ was not declared in this scope; did
you mean ‘V4L2_PIX_FMT_Y10’?

Everything seems to be working with v4l2 relay until I actually use the
camera. For some reason using camera either through ffplay or google
chrome kills audio output and I need to reboot to get the sound back
working.

Just out of curiosity: Is it planned to bring this to Focal too? (since
the same problem can be seen in LTS Focal with kernels 5.13).

@juergh, we tested your kernel on one of our notebooks where the problem
occurred. Shut down and reboot hasn't shown this behaviour, yet.
Looks promising!
