On Ubuntu 22.04, 5.15.0-83-generic #92-Ubuntu - our storage system ran
into this bug. mdcheck ran for the scheduled 1st day of the month and
then hung 6 hours later.

As another data point, we're seeing this bug on one of our NFS servers
running Ubuntu 24.04.1 with 6.8.0-51 kernel. Also experienced a similar
issue to one of the above users with unable to start nfs-kernel-server
and trying to restart the service.

Actually I think I might have deleted the `6.8.0-47-generic` directory
myself when I had hard disk space issues while running an LLM
experiment, which means this is not a bug. (The modules directory was
large and I thought it was no longer used because the kernel was then
6.8.0-48, but I should ha

This came up during a routine Lubuntu upgrade. I used the nvidia driver
for Folding@Home but it was not actively running during the upgrade.
Not yet tested if it still works after this.
