1. download the three deb packages that correspond to your architecture (the
*all* package, then *most commonly* the generic+amd64 ones)
2. open a terminal and cd to the Downloads folder
3. install the packages with dpkg (e.g. sudo dpkg -i *-4.4.0-040400rc5*.deb)
4. restart and make su
I can confirm that instructions in #74 work for the Lenovo Yoga 3 11'.
I'm using kernel 4.3 from
http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v4.3-wily/ because it has a
touchpad fix.
I also used the backports file from
https://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/projects/backports/2015/10/13/back
I just installed this kernel and it's working correctly:
http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v4.4-rc5-wily/
No backports required!
