Going back to linux-image-6.8.0-54 brings back the usability.

Sorry for the inconvenience.
Previous reboot in Ubuntu 6.8.0-55 had failed, so I created the bug report when
I had access to the keyboard.
The return from Ubuntu 6.8.0-54 seems to correct the problem.
I should have waited to complete the cycle.
