[Kernel-packages] [Bug 997718] Re: Lenovo Ideacentre B300 - bluetooth adapter not detected

I found a workaround to get it working in Linuxmint forum: http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=141&p=324733 You have to put the mouse device of Broadcom chip into hic mode. First you hve to find the sys device name for that device, as described here: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php

I found a way to write an udev rule to make the hid2hci switch. I took /lib/udev/rules.d/97-bluetooth-hid2hci.rules as a template and copied it to /etc/udev/rules.d/97-lenovo-hid2hci.rules. Now I had to find the right attributes for my Broadcom mouse device. udevadm info -a --path /devices/pci

Public bug reported: The bluez package provides some udev rules in /lib/udev/rules.d/97 -bluetooth-hid2hci.rules to switch some Dell devices into hci mode. The same is necessary for Broadcom BCM2046 based devices. To get bluetooth working on my Lenovo Ideacentre B320 I added the following rule t

Same problem on Macbook 5,1 Unibody on Precise. Sometime it works (maybe after poweroff) but most of the time does not. Maybe there is a reset missing for the device. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to bluez in Ubuntu. https:/
