Public bug reported:
At the beginning of the installation of Lubuntu 14.04 Alternate PowerPC
on an iMac G3 500 I get the error message
mount: can't find /run in /etc/fstab
[4.732855] Kernel panic - not syncing: Attempted to kill init!
exitcode=0x0100
[4.732855]
[4.733196] CPU: 0
I tried to upgrade the current installation with the `do-release-update'
command but unfortunately it failed and now I don't have a working
installation anymore. I could reinstall the old version of Lubuntu and
the run `apport-collect' but currently I don't have access to the
computer in question.
@jsalisbury: I don't think it is, the CPU is a PowerPC 750.

Title:
Installation of Lubuntu 14.04 fails on PowerPC computer
Status
What more information do I need to provide before we can change the
status from "incomplete" to "new"? By the way I recently installed
Debian 7.6 on the computer in question and it went smoothly.
